Stop the Tilbury LNG project

On September 21, 2026, the Federal and BC governments approved Tilbury Phase 2 LNG. Now, FortisBC is one step closer to expanding its Tilbury Liquefied Natural Gas plant along a fragile part of the Fraser River, in Delta, British Columbia.

The risks of this fossil fuel project are high: to our health, the water, and marine life. The Southern Resident killer whales in the area are already struggling to survive, and increased tanker traffic and industrial activity in their habitat will only add to the pressure they face.

Right now, our petition to stop this project is above 21,000 and a record number of local community members voiced their concerns during the comment period held over the summer. We aren’t stopping now.

Email the provincial and federal government and share your disappointment with their rubber-stamping of such a dangerous project – and let them know we’ll keep fighting pollution every step of the way.
