Tell the Bank of America to adopt an Amazon-specific policy

Bank of America finances many of the oil and gas companies wreaking havoc on the Amazon rainforest, including Canada-based Gran Tierra who has violated Indigenous Peoples rights multiple times and caused an oil spill at their drill site in Colombia.

Even notorious JP Morgan has an Amazon policy now, historically the worst financier of Amazon oil and gas. While it’s not the best policy, it's an important step forward in a time when banks are backtracking on climate commitments. That’s why we’re asking Bank of America to follow suit and develop an Amazon policy and plan for a total exit from Amazon oil and gas by 2030.
