Tell the Ashland City Council: Make buildings safer for people and the planet

The fires in LA remind us how critical it is to address climate change and make our buildings safer and healthier.

On Tuesday, January 21, the Ashland City Council will have its first discussion of a carbon pollution fee. This will apply to new homes that will use methane gas appliances. The pollution fee will incentivize newly constructed homes to be built with electric appliances by charging a fee for those who choose to install gas appliances. This means healthier, safer, more efficient homes, and less harmful climate pollution.

After the Tuesday discussion, the Council is expected to make its final vote on the policy on February 4.

Send a message to Ashland City Council urging them to stand up for our health and the climate by passing this policy now.

Message the Council to move forward on the carbon pollution fee
