Support the Costco Hot Dog Rebellion: Email Citibank Executives Now

Climate activists dressed in hot dog costumes and red aprons blocked 1000+ Citi employees from getting into work on Tuesday, July 9th for over ONE HOUR. This is the largest disruption of Citi’s business operations that our movement has been able to pull off yet.

Costco customers are organizing to call out Costco's credit card partnership with dirty Citibank. Citi is the world’s #1 funder of fossil fuel expansion since 2015, and they are enabling an industry that is polluting and destroying communities and places that we love.

Costco needs to use its leverage as a large client of Citi and tell Citi to stop funding fossil fuels, and if Citi doesn’t, Costco should find a new credit card partner all together.

Citibank is the #1 funder of fossil fuels in the world and the #1 funder of liquified natural gas (LNG) globally since the Paris Climate Accords. The fossil fuel industry is destroying and polluting our communities and our planet, literally killing us.

On Tuesday, July 9th, Costco members and climate activists dressed up in hot dog costumes and red aprons prevented 1000+ Citi employees from getting into work for over an hour. Thousands of Costco members are calling on Costco to use its leverage as a large client to push Citibank to stop funding fossil fuel expansion. And if Citi doesn’t, Costco should find a new credit card partner all together.

If Costco considers itself an ethical company, it should not do business with unethical companies like Citi that are destroying the planet.
