Burnaby residents: It’s time for big polluters to pay their fair share

A growing number of communities across Canada and the U.S. are demanding big polluters pay their share of climate costs – and Burnaby council will be making a decision soon!

Burnaby’s Environment Committee recommended that the City of Burnaby support a class action lawsuit against global fossil fuel companies for a share of climate costs.

If Burnaby pledges its support for the proposed lawsuit, it would be the 6th B.C. community to do so, and the largest so far.

In just a short period of time, five communities across B.C. have already committed to making big polluters pay via a class action lawsuit – it’s time for Burnaby to join them.

Will you send an email to the Burnaby Mayor and Council now telling them to pledge their support for Sue Big Oil?
