FortisBC wants to expand its Tilbury LNG plant along a fragile part of the Fraser River, in Delta, British Columbia. If we don’t intervene, this project could have devastating impacts on nearby communities, at-risk species of fish and whale, and on the climate.
The B.C. government hasn’t yet made its final decision about the project, which means we still have a chance to stop FortisBC’s expansion plans in their tracks. A wave of pressure from the local councils of directly impacted communities like Delta could be enough to provide the provincial government the political support they’ll need to reject the project.
