Pass a climate and public health emergency resolution in Richmond

Wind turbines and solar panels agains a backdrop of green hills

Tonight, Richmond City Council will be voting on an ordinance that bans gas hookups to new buildings, being introduced by Councilmember Eduardo Martinez.

This ordinance will protect the health and safety of Richmond residents from hazardous gas leaks and explosions. Let's keep our community on track to an environment safe from environmental toxins, fossil fuels, and climate change.

However, for this gas ban ordinance to pass, local leaders need to hear from you – and we've created a tool that makes submitting a comment in support of this action super easy.

Will you submit a comment and ask local lawmakers to improve our community's quality of life and keep us safe from fossil fuels, environmental toxins, and climate change?

Ask Richmond to pass a ban on natural gas
