Email decision makers to stand with forest defenders at Ada'itsx/Fairy Creek

RCMP confronting an Indigenous woman at Ada'itsx/Fairy Creek

Since last August, Indigenous land defenders and their allies have been on the ground at Ada'itsx/Fairy Creek – unceded Pacheedaht and Ditidaht territories – stopping the Teal Jones logging company from chopping down thousand-year-old trees. But now they're facing the escalation of police violence and the illegal enforcement of the injunction granted to Teal Jones to arrest those on the frontlines.

If the B.C. NDP had kept their election promise to immediately stop logging in at-risk old growth forests, the safety of these peaceful people wouldn't be in jeopardy, and the trees they're standing up to protect wouldn't be at-risk.

Those who have been on the frontlines for over a year need fellow B.C. residents to show their solidarity and email politicians. We need to demand that the police stand down and hold the government accountable for their broken promise to protect old growth.

Email Premier Horgan and Minister of Public Safety Mike Farnworth now and urge them to immediately call off the violent RCMP enforcement at Fairy Creek.
