Trans Mountain must secure insurance for its dirty tar sands pipeline, or it cannot continue.
If built, the new Trans Mountain pipeline and tanker project would ship more than 590,000 barrels per day of highly polluting tar sands crude to the BC coast, increasing Canada’s climate emissions and making it impossible to meet our Paris commitments.
Making the pipeline un-insurable is a critical way to stop the project in its tracks, but we’re running out of time to get Trans Mountain’s major insurers to drop out.
We must step up the pressure by targeting insurance company CEOs directly.
Will you take one minute to send them an email now, and urge insurers to abandon this pipeline once and for all?
Your letter will be sent to the CEOs of Liberty Mutual, Chubb, AIG, Lloyd’s, and WR Berkley.
