Trans Mountain must secure insurance by August 31st in order to proceed with its controversial tar sands pipeline – and three more insurers have just abandoned the project.
Trans Mountain’s biggest insurer, Zurich, is the latest to drop the pipeline, leaving Trans Mountain scrambling to find coverage.
Without insurance, the pipeline cannot go ahead.
A wave of public pressure is urgently needed to convince other Trans Mountain insurers to follow Zurich's lead and un-insure the pipeline before August 31st.
