Charmin is the largest at-home toilet paper brand in the US and their parent company, Procter & Gamble (P&G) is a $68 billion corporation, it could be doing more to transition the tissue industry into a more sustainable one. Each year millions of acres of the Canadian boreal forest is logged partially to keep up with the high demand of tissue product in the US – which is equivalent to seven National Hockey League rinks each minute.
We’ve been campaigning nonstop for the past year to change Charmin’s sourcing practices from 100% virgin fiber to incorporating recycled and alternatives fibers. P&G still refuses to make goal-oriented commitments to protect the boreal forest, so it's time to take our public pressure campaign up a notch.
Send him an email to let him know that you would like P&G to make sustainable TP and protect the forest and caribou. It takes just a few minutes to send him an email, but the impact of your voice is just the amplification we need in order to push the company to change.
