Philadelphia should endorse the Fossil Fuel Treaty

With scorching heat in the summer and rampant flooding in the winter, climate change is impacting people in Philadelphia and around the globe. That's why it's crucial that we address this problem with the scale and the urgency that's required.

Enter the Fossil Fuel Non-Proliferation Treaty. Already supported by 13 countries, more than 100 subnational governments, and nearly a million people around the world, this initiative provides an international plan to fairly wind down fossil fuel use and transition to renewable energy.

Philadelphia should join other North American cities like Los Angeles, Austin, and Vancouver by endorsing the call for a Treaty and urging our federal government to get on board.
