Cutting environmental (and labour) protections to fast-track projects isn’t just short-sighted. It won’t work.
History has shown us: overturning core environmental protections won't make us safer or stronger, but it will put the nature we depend on, our health and safety, and the values that people in Canada hold dear at risk. None of this should be disposable in the name of corporate profits.
We can build a clean, sovereign energy system and economy while upholding Indigenous rights, workers' rights and investing in Canadian innovation and communities.
